MBFSZ is partner in 10 new projects within the Geo-ERA program

2018 Apr. 17.

48 national / regional geological surveys from 33 European countries are partners in the H2020 funded Geo-ERA program (http://geoera.eu). Hungary is represented by the Mining and Geological Survey of Hungary.

The main aim of this 3 year ambitious co-fund action is to establish the European Geological Surveys Research Area to deliver a Geological Service for Europe in order to contribute to a more integrated and efficient management and a more responsible and publicly accepted exploitation and use of the subsurface. The program focuses on 4 thematic areas: geo-energy, groundwater, raw materials and an integrated information platform. Within the 2-stage call process, submitted transnational project proposals were evaluated in spring 2018. MBFSZ is partner in 10 successful projects, and has a leading role in one of them (Geo-Connect3d) that aims to build an integrated geological model for the Pannonian Basin area. The projects will start on July 1, 2018.
